U2's Bono Reveals To JOE ROGAN He Had a Dog Named LEMMY, Named After Lemmy from MOTORHEAD

On May 30, 2025 U2's Bono appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience promoting his film

Bono: Stories of Surrender — a documentary featuring U2 frontman Bono


Directed by Andrew Dominik, Bono: Stories of Surrender held its world premiere on May 16 at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the South of France.


The official summary for the documentary reads, “Bono: Stories of Surrender is a vivid reimagining of Bono’s critically acclaimed one-man stage show, Stories of Surrender: An Evening of Words, Music and Some Mischief… As he pulls back the curtain on a remarkable life and the family, friends and faith that have challenged and sustained him, he also reveals personal stories about his journey as a son, father, husband, activist and rock star.



In the chat Rogan tells Bono he has a dog named Johnny Cash and then Bono Reveals he has female a dog Named Lemmy (Motorhead).

In the Chat Bono asked Rogan he was a fan of Johnny Cash and Rogan said, "Huge, I used to have a dog named Johnny Cash, I just had a habit of naming dogs after famous singers." Bono then says, "we had a dog named Lemmy, named after Lemmy from Motorhead, she was a female dog and I think she resents it."
