Extreme/Living Colour MTELUS Montréal, QC Canada Sept. 28, 2024

Special guests (Extreme headliners) Living Colour brought their Fall tour to a packed MTELUS (capacity 2300) in Montreal Saturday night, and took no prisoners. Rarely has such a collection of talent been assembled into one package, leaving attendees in awe night after night.
Living Colour
Living Colour kicked off the festivities with a loud, raucous set. Playing it safe they did not, challenging the audience with a well executed set of not just hits/favourites, but also deeper cuts from throughout their career, and covers of Grandmaster Flash and The Clash. Even well known songs were given new treatments and arrangements that challenged the listener, save for “the song that made them famous”, Cult Of Personality, which punctuated the evening in its original form.
Singer Corey Glover and guitarist Vernon Reid
The playbook when opening for another band is to play your greatest hits; Living Colour don’t do no playbook. Corey Glover, Vernon Reid, Doug Wimbish, and Will Calhoun set the bar high for what was to follow.
