Kenny Kessel The Man on the Street for The Metal Voice recently interviewed former Frehley's Comet bandmates Tod Howarth & Richie Scarlet who were performing a Comets tribute show for Ace Frehley.
In the chat they both talked about their time memories recording with Ace over the years
Former Comets guitarist Richie Scarlet spoke about how Skid Row's Sebastian Bach sang Back vocals on Ace Fredhly's Trouble Walkin' album in 1989
"Skid Row stopped in the studio that we were recording at, which at that time we were in North Lake Sound in White North White Plains, New York. They (Skid Row) were opening that night for Bon Jovi up in Hartford. I asked Sebastian, "Would you sing backup vocals on this song I wrote?" ( "2 Young 2 Die" ) And I went to the piano and then his tour manager said, "We got to go." And Sebastian said, "No, man. I'm staying." and he stuck around and he actually sang the backups and so I thought that was, you know, pretty cool of him to do that, you know."
On Ace Frehley’s 1989 solo track "2 Young 2 Die" (from the album Trouble Walkin'), the lead vocals were sung by Richie Scarlet, while the backing vocals were arranged by Al Fritsch and Peppy Castro.Additional guest background vocals on the song were provided by a notable rock lineup: Sebastian Bach, Dave "The Snake" Sabo, and Rachel Bolan (of Skid Row).
Trouble Walkin' is a 1989 solo album released by Ace Frehley. The album features guest performances by former Kiss drummer Peter Criss, as well as Skid Row members Sebastian Bach, Rachel Bolan and Dave Sabo.
