When asked about his recent prostate Cancer disgnosis

"What happened was Iast February I went to the (throat) doctor (in France) to check on my throat (cancer remission). I told the Doctor about a year ago I was Peeing weird, I was waking up three, four times a night and (peeing), never done that. Wake up wiz and go back to sleep. And I told him I think I have a problem down there. And the doctor said I think you are just getting old, that is just your prostate. This time around I did a full body scan, past my knees, usually I just do my neck, to see if my cancer is coming back. So I went in to see the doctor and I thought he was going to say, all is good, see you next year but he goes everything is not cool. He pulled up a screen and showed me, see that you got prostate cancer. My Dad had it and they say it is hereditary."

" I did (and paid) for a biopsy and we only found out I only had emergency health insurance that only pays for the radiation that is it, not for any other scans, not the medicine, not travelling to the hospital. So I cannot perform (work) and I cannot leave the country or they cut me off. Last month Sarah (Holmes' manager / wife) and I were sitting adding up everything (Bills) to see if we can get through the year and there is just no way we are going to get close. No possible way and we had to do a GO fund for me to make it through. I’m getting through it. A lot of people are donating and helping out and I appreciate it. "

When asked about His thoughts on W.A.S.P. sharing his GOfund me

"I appreciate it very much. My (Blackie) Lawless and I don't get along and we have our different views, I don't play in the band now. I'm an O.G. ( Original WASP member), I'm an original gangster of the band. The people who like the first four, five albums, whatever I played on, if they still like me as a human being, I want to reach out to as many people as I can. I appreciate it.”

Former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes, 68, was diagnosed with prostate cancer and is undergoing radiotherapy in France. His wife, Catherine, launched a fundraiser to manage accumulating medical debt. This marks his second cancer battle, following a successful recovery from throat cancer in 2022
