The Metal Voice recently interviewed Accept  guitarist Wolf Hoffmann about Accept's 50th-anniversary album, Teutonic Titans 1976–2026, which will be released on September 4, 2026, via Napalm Records.

It features 19 reimagined tracks with 50 guest artists. The album is produced, mixed, and mastered by Zeuss (Christopher Harris).

Teutonic Titans 1976-2026 reaches far beyond the borders of ACCEPT’s country of origin. Packed with the biggest names in heavy music paying tribute to the German icons, the record cements the band’s standing on the global stage. This is more than an album. It is a manifesto of metal!

Excerpts from interview

When asked if Accept fans over time have grown to appreciate the album 'Eat the Heat' the only album with David Reece on Vocals

"Oh man, it's almost like they're coming out of the closet slowly one by one.  I've heard it so many times. You know, they (fans) secretly almost apologize,  I hate to tell you but I really like this album. There's a lot of cool stuff on it. And I'm always thinking like, you don't need to apologize. If you like it, you like it. But, [laughter] you know what I mean? It's a very controversial album because we changed our sound and the look and all this kind of stuff and we know what happened.

When asked about including the song HELLHAMMER off of the 'Eat the Heat' on this album

" I always felt there's a lot of good ideas on this album and there's a couple of other songs we could have done, but we just stuck with one Hellhammer just to see. I thought it turned out fantastic. Just it sounds like it could have been on any record really. It's not dated at all. "

When asked if Udo had any thoughts on getting former singer  Udo Dirkschneider on one track on this album

'Yeah, there was actually I invited everybody of the old members unfortunately, nobody participated, but that was the intention. There are thank you notes and I thanked all the Ex members cause they all contributed  to what this is.'
