Alcatrazz ft.Graham Bonnet to Perform at Metal Hall Fame 2020

Legendary vocalist Graham Bonnet will be inducted  and will perform with his band Alcatrazz at the 2020 Metal Hall of Fame Gala. 

 

Graham Bonnet who replaced Ronnie James Dio in Rainbow, has a legendary career involving some of the most well known guitarists in rock. From Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow to Michael Schenker, and with his own band Alcatrazz, which established Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai.

 

The Gala takes place on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the Marriott Delta Garden Grove in Anaheim, CA.

Alcatrazz is an English-American heavy metal band formed in 1983 by Graham Bonnet, Jimmy Waldo and Gary Shea. They are best known for their songs "Island in the Sun" and "God Blessed Video", and have gone through a number of line-up changes, leaving Bonnet as the only constant member.

 

The band is also notable for featuring a previously-unknown Yngwie Malmsteen, who was the guitarist of Alcatrazz during 1983–1984, and was subsequently replaced by Steve Vai and then by Danny Johnson.After breaking up in 1987, and reuniting for occasional live performances between 2006 and 2017, Alcatrazz reformed once more in 2019 under Bonnet and Waldo. To date, the band has released three studio albums: No Parole from Rock 'n' Roll (1983), Disturbing the Peace (1985) and Dangerous Games (1986)

 

Joining Graham Bonnet will in the Metal Hall of Fame 2020 inductions will include Geoff Tate, Don Dokken, Stephen Pearcy, Joe Satriani and Metal Church

 

Additional Inductions and performances by hard rock and heavy metal Legends, an All-Star Jam, and other surprises will be announced over the next few weeks!!

 

The 2020 Metal Hall of Fame Gala will be hosted by iconic television and radio personality Eddie Trunk, and co-hosted by Whiskey A GOGO Ultimate Jam Night / Almost Fama Show Host Jes Fama.

Proceeds from the Gala go to The Non-Profit organization D.A.D. (Drums and Disabilities). D.A.D. brings free music programs and therapy services to disabled children and wounded veterans in various hospitals and community centers throughout the United States.

The 2020 Hall of Heavy Metal History Gala, affectionately referred to as "The Most Important Night in Metal" by hard rock and metal fans throughout the world, will feature Inductions and performances by numerous hard rock and heavy metal Legends of all time.

 

 

The 2019 Hall of Heavy Metal History Gala featured Metallica Inducting Megaforce Records founders Jon and Marsha Zazula. In addition, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne assisted the Hall of Heavy Metal History Gala by providing former Ozzy drummer Lee Kerslake with his much awaited Platinum Record Awards for his participation on both "Blizzard of Oz" and "Diary of A Madman" albums. The 2019 Gala also featured former Ozzy Bassist Bob Daisley being Inducted by John Sykes (Whitesnake), and Ozzy producer Max Norman. Other Gala Inductees included Mike PortnoyDavid Ellefson, (Megadeth) Jeff Scott Soto, (Inducted by Rudy Sarzo) Lita Ford (Inducted by Doro Pesch) Saxon, Jeff PilsonTestament, and the 50th Anniversary for Legendary Los Angeles radio station KLOS.
