One of the biggest names in Brazilian heavy metal has died June 8 2019 Saturday. André Matos, 47, who played in the bands Viper, Angra and Shaman, in addition to solo career, died speculation of a causes heart attack.
The death was confirmed in social networks by former bandmates such as drummer Ricardo Confessori and bassist Luis Mariutti, who shared the stage with André Mattos in the bands Angra and Shaman.
Confessori wrote on his Facebook page
"Fate has united us, separated us, reunited us and now preached more with us. It is with deep sorrow in our hearts that we bid farewell to Andre once more, this time in a definitive way. even knowing that we spend glorious moments with our companion and friend, there will always be the best of it in our hearts, "says the note signed by Hugo Mariutti, Luis Mariutti, Ricardo Confessori, Fábio Ribeiro and Rick Dallal

André Matos is considered one of the pioneers of style in Brazilian music. In his teens, he joined the band Viper . In Angra, André Matos was at the forefront of the group's first three albums: Angels Cry, Holy Land and Fireworks. then created Shaaman alongside Luis Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori. In 2006, he left the band to pursue a solo career.
