Venom Inc talks New album and Satanic troubles in the south

June 26, 2016

For Canada’s The Metal Voice  former singer of Anthrax Neil Turbin (Deathriders) caught up with Venom inc at the Whisky in L.A.

The new band featuring original VENOM members Jeff "Mantas" Dunn (guitar) and Anthony "Abaddon" Bray (drums) alongside ex-VENOM bassist/vocalist Tony "Demolition Man" Dolan.

When asked about plans for releasing new Venom Inc Album Mantas said, “Lots of songs are at the demo stage, it’s on its way. “ Abaddoncontinued,” The stuff is there, it’s ready to be jumped on in the studio, it’s just we keep getting offered live shows, were the kind of band who loves to play live. So we are not saying no and were are accepting everything that is coming along and sadly the studio side of it gets pushed back a little bit but it’s going to happen."

When asked to explain in detail the tour detour in Covington, Kentucky USA, Demolition Man Explains,” We went to a place in the Bible belt called the Thompson House, some connection with the mafia in the old days, it was infamous for that. Everyone was saying it was a great venue, when we turned up we stopped outside waiting for the doors to open, when they opened we had the idea of loading in but the technicians in the house approached Mantas  and said we got to close up, what for? The owner just called and said close it. It’s like What? There is kids, the fans , we are here. The owner just didn’t want anything to do with it.

And I heard a few different variations of the story there was a family argument and he decided he had enough of arguing. And the technicians all left. And we had the choice we can either leave have a day off or find another venue. So we thought these people had already bought tickets, so we phoned another venue and  told fans to go there and we had a great night. One of the guys came down and said you are in the bible belt. In the land of the free? We had a full club and everybody had a great time , nobody went out smashing cars, raping anybody, killing anybody just had smiles on their faces. I used to live opposite a church, I didn’t see anybody come out smiling."
